How We Make An Impact In Our Community
Impact!
A word I love. Not just in marketing, but in action.
We choose to focus our impact on universities. As graduates ourselves, we understand how driven these students are, yet they’re often limited by opportunities that require 5+ years of experience beyond their degree in our current job market.
To help ensure success post-graduation, we offer real opportunities.
Too often, the marketing opportunities available to students don’t offer a chance to learn from industry professionals. Instead, companies look to save on marketing by having interns handle it.
As a result, interns don’t learn about strategy, what works, reasoning, design, SEO, or IMPACT. They’re given tools like Canva and told to produce, but they’re left with little more than a bullet point on their resume—no real experience.
Even worse, we see international students who, despite being eager and often holding additional degrees or experience, are denied opportunities.
To us, impact means creating opportunities for those who are trying, putting in the effort, and want to succeed—those who just need someone to believe in them.
This is known as the Pygmalion effect I orginally learned from a book called the Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor. It highlights the idea that believing in someone helps them believe in themselves, creating a self-fulfilling prophecy. There’s a clear correlation between expectations and performance—when someone believes in you and cheers you on, your chances of success increase because of the confidence and motivation it sparks.
When we foster positivity, our brains become more engaged, creative, motivated, energetic, resilient, and productive. It’s a powerful reminder of the impact belief and positivity can have on not only your performance but others.
If we can be a stepping stone in your journey of success then we are one lucky group of people!
That’s what impact means to me. Marcela Rodrigues, thank you for your kind review—I’m excited to see how you continue to make impact the world!
